Company: The Knowledge Engineers

Niall is the founder and CEO of The Knowledge Engineers, the world’s leading digital education company.

Niall started his career in brand management at Procter & Gamble. In 2000, he left to help create one of the first community websites for teenagers to chat, share photos and message each other called Wowgo. It turned out the year 2000 was too early for social media!

Instead he joined IPC Media, a division of Time Warner, where he became Marketing Director at the age of 24, and launched Europe’s top selling men’s magazine.

After Time Warner, he was appointed CMO of Travelocity Europe, with a seat on the European board. While overseeing a marketing team of 140, he recognized the learning curve involved in integrating digital within traditional marketing channels. He formed TKE help organisations to bridge the digital capability gap.

With offices in London, New York, Budapest, Singapore and Sao Paulo and a faculty of over 100 marketing experts globally, TKE helps leading marketing-driven organizations to integrate digital into their business. TKE is the official digital training partner for WPP globally, and delivers training for the world’s top advertising agencies around the world.

TKE also provides training for clients like Time Warner, News Corp, MTV, Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Mars and Disney. The company now trains over 10,000 people every year in digital skills across marketing, advertising sales, strategy and content creation. In 2012, TKE launched 12ahead, a platform for cutting edge digital trends and case studies.

Job Title: Careers Content Editor
Company: Haymarket Media

My experience in film, television, features writing, marketing and public relations spans twenty years. My early career led me into film and television, where I worked as a producer and programme editor both here in the UK and abroad. The subjects of my documentaries always had a humanitarian leaning and can be found in the German national film archive. As a producer, I worked across a broad range of programmes, including the ITN and Channel 5 flagship news programmes and BBC1’s Kilroy.

As a freelance features editor and writer, I have worked for publications such as The Times, Countrylife, Horse and Hound, Families in Business and Countryside Magazine amongst many others.

Alongside this, I became an Account Director at Cow PR, a much feted consumer public relations company, where I headed up accounts such as Heinz, Vauxhall cars, The Flower Council of Holland and More Th>n insurance. I managed several teams and communicated with clients and the media at the highest levels. My work included pitching for new business, organising complex PR stunts, managing budgets of various sizes and leading sell-ins.

I covered maternity leave at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising as Senior Press Office for 7 months. In that time I helped launch President, Ian Priest's agenda as well as helping to gain record coverage for two IPA Bellwether reports on Marketing Spend.

In October 2013, I moved to Haymarket and am the Careers Content Editor across all the business media brands including BrandRepublicJobs, PR Week Jobs and Third Sector Jobs.
